A Very Webcomic New Year

Sorry for the protracted absence, adoring public!  Got distracted by the holidays, but I’m gonna try to get back into the swing of things with a belated New Year’s post…

So, how did webcartoonists celebrate the new year?  Well, as discussed before (in my most popular post), James Kochalka celebrated by posting the final installment in his 14-year old diary comic, American Elf.  Here he is featured on local news for the occasion:

As a library science student, I am wondering where that 14-year-long archive of his life will wind up…  Some lucky person will be cataloging those some day!

Meanwhile, Gordon McAlpin’s Multiplex wrapped up the 7th book in the planned 9-book-run of the webcomic with a romantic New Year’s Eve installment (that’s actually a pretty eventful day in the comic’s history, usually lotsa romancing), so might be a good time for new readers to jump aboard.

Hope your 2013 is off to a good start!
